Who are we?

TiK•TaK is a student project created as part of the BUT MMI degree at IUT Belfort-Montbéliard (SAÉ 301) by Valentin Deroo. The brand is fictional: no watch is actually sold or shipped, and no payment is ever taken.

What data do we use?

When you click “Continue with Google”, Google only sends us:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your profile picture and Google account ID.

We also store what you create on the site: your watches (name, components, preview) and your simulated orders (quantity, delivery method, address entered, payment method chosen). Bank details are never requested.

What is it used for?

  • signing you in and keeping your session open (session cookie, 30 days);
  • showing your watches and your order history;
  • personalising the site header (your initials or picture);
  • remembering your language choice (language cookie, 1 year).

Your data is never sold or shared, nor used for advertising. The AI advisor only receives the text you write to it and the list of chosen components — never your name or email.

Where is it stored, and for how long?

In a database hosted on an IUT server in France, for the duration of the teaching project. It will be deleted at the end of the academic year.

Your rights

You can delete your watches at any time from “My watches”, sign out, or request the complete deletion of your account by writing to the support address shown on the Google sign-in screen. You can also remove TiK•TaK’s access from your Google account settings.
